Rovio, the maker of Angry Birds, is preparing for their February 14th roll out on Facebook and its 800 million users, and they are revealing a few new details about the release. As many have anticipated, there will be new levels exclusive to the Facebook version.
Rovio will follow the successful model that Zynga has created, and the new version of Angry Birds will have many similarities to existing Facebook games. The new version will emphasize the social aspect of the game, allowing players to compete with their friends, post and boast about their scores and gift each other power-ups. Like other games, players will be allowed the option to purchase additional boosts during their game play.
There will be launch activities in Bangkok, Jakarta and Mumbai to celebrate the release on February 14, as Rovio tries to expand their global reach.
